Let's celebrate Saint Valentine's Day with a SPEED DATING GAME: “FIND YOUR GEOMETRIC PARTNER" You are one of the shapes we have learned, and you will find another shape like you by asking a few questions. You will have 3 minutes with each partner, so... do not waste time! QUESTIONS 1. How many sides have you got? 2. How many pairs of equal sides have you got? 3. How many right angles? 4. If you have 4 sides: how many pairs of parallel sides? 5. If you have 3 sides: have you got an acute, obtuse or a right angle? RULES 1. Speak English ALL THE TIME. 2. ONLY ask questions related to the figures. 3. You have to guess which shape our partner is. IT IS A GUESSING GAME. Keep your shape a SECRET until the end of the game. GEOMETRIC SHAPES IN ART PROJECT 1 : SEVEN SHAPES PROJECT The seven shapes Project consists of using seven different geometric shapes or the same shape repeated seven times like the following example.       PROJECT 2 : BECOME AN ARTIST USING GEOMETRIC SHAPES Where can we find Geometry in Art? Well, this is your project. You are going to become an Artist using Geometric Shapes. Check the following Artists and base your work on one of their works of Art.   STEPS:  1 - You select an Artist (from the list below or a different one that you like) and search about his/her works of Art and his/her life.  2 - You choose one of his/works of art and print it.  3 - You became an Artist! It is not about imitating, it is about using the work of Art you printed as an inspiration for your own work of Art.  This is a project done in the Jefferson Elementary School, New Orleans (USA).
